Background

As a season ticket holder at Charlton for over 20 years, football has always been a big part of my life. I feel very fortunate to be able to combine the skills I learnt at school and university with my favourite hobby.

I graduated in 2006 with an MEng in Computer Science and immediately after I joined a multinational investment bank on their graduate scheme. This provided a solid foundation for my career, but I always felt like there was something missing.

I started looking for other opportunities where I could use my skills in a role I was truly passionate about. That's when I stumbled over Football Radar's website and never looked back.

Working at Football Radar

I was quickly integrated into the team and in a short space of time I worked on numerous parts of our systems.

As we are a small IT team, we are constantly striving to improve our agile process and we have total control over the frameworks and languages we use.

I primarily used Microsoft technologies in my previous job (.NET, C#, WPF). I've used PHP, Java, JavaScript and MySQL since joining Football Radar and I'm sure we'll continue to experiment with new things in the future.

Working for Football Radar is a great opportunity to be a geek - in both technological and footballing terms.
